Molecules are composed of charged particles, the electrons and the nuclei, which experience forces in the presence of external electromagnetic fields. The aim of our research is to extend our understanding of the properties and dynamics of molecules in strong external fields, which can be realized either in laser fields or in the quantized radiation field of a microscopic cavity. Our work involves developing theoretical methods to complement experiments, as well as delivering accurate simulations to reveal novel phenomena.
